Dial *#06# on your phone to find your IMEI number. If multiple IMEI numbers show, you can use any of them.

Each mobile device has one, or two, unique 15 digit International Mobile Equipment Identity numbers, commonly called an IMEI.  These numbers are unique to each device and allows AMTA to identify the make and model of the mobile device so as to determine if it is supported on all three Australian mobile networks once 3G closes.

Enter the 15 digits of your IMEI number:

If OK: Provided your device is up to date with the latest Android or iOS software, you don’t need to do anything.  Your device will work normally on all three Australian mobile networks after the 3G closure.

If CHECK: You need to contact your service provider.
It may mean that:
1. Your handset won’t support 4G and or 4G emergency voice calls and needs to be replaced, or
2. You may need to ensure your handset has the latest Android or iOS software in order to support 4G emergency voice calls.

You can text “3” to the number ‘3498’ to provide a more thorough check of your device.

Do not test your phone by calling 000. If your phone comes back with CHECK, then it will be able to connect to emergency service while any active 3G network is available. By calling 000 you may block a real emergency call from reaching emergency services.
